We will finally receive our bid list tonight at 5:00 (or 13:00 now, bc all of Patrick’s paper work is on military time). Patrick has promised not to look it over until he gets home so we can read it together. I’ve set up a “Bidding Station” in our dining room. I hung a world map and a giant piece of white butcher paper to our wall. The paper has columns labeled, high (green), medium (yellow), low (red) and maybe (meaning we need to research the post more, blue). I bought flag post its (each a different color depending on our ranking) so that we can place them on the city on our map. We are ready to start ranking those cities…
*Update
Patrick came home last Tuesday with the list. He’d looked it over already because they had to in their class. Since then we’ve been pouring over it and the map and other people’s thoughts on each post who live or have lived there. We’ve finally ranked them high, medium and low. After Flag Day I’ll update with more info. For now I can tell you that there are lots of very interesting posts and a few dream jobs and lots and lots of jobs that are far from dream jobs but would be an adventure I’m sure. We meet with our Career Development Officer tomorrow to talk over our high bids with her. Then we turn in our list on the 20th and find out October 8th where we are going.
sounds like a whole lotta fun! There’s no way your husband is not going to look, though!! Take a pic of your set up for us. 🙂
